As a result of their fantastic achievement of capturing a first adult title for this extremely young club,The Bantry Ladies Football Team were rewarded with the Buckley Financial Carbery’’ Team of the Month’’ for September 2010.



At a very bright and enthusiastic presentation ceremony where all the players were togged out in their club colours, Tim Buckley of Buckley Financial presented the team of the month award, and was carefull to point out that this award now gives the club and indeed all the other monthly winners the oppourtunity to portray all that is good and great about their club at the annual awards function to be held at the fantastic Maritime Hotel Bantry on Saturday January 22nd 2011.



The West Cork Board were represented by Mr Gordon Salter fixtures secretary ,who spoke of his delight that ladies football was being acknowledged in this fashion, and wished Bantry ladies all the best.

Club chairman John McCarthy thanked the large number of club members and supporters for attending, and remarked that this award was just reward for a great team that had started off at under 12 level.
