BEST OF LUCK 

The Carbery Board wishes to send congratulations to Con Downing, who is retiring as editor of the "Southern Star" this week, after 45 years involvement with the Star, 12 as editor. During his time he has proved to be a great friend of the GAA and the Carbery Board and we sincerely thank him for all he has done to promote our games through his newspaper down the years. Our association owes him and the Southern Star a great deal for the marvellous coverage for many, many years. 

     We wish Con all the best in his retirement and hope he and his family have many more years of happiness as they face into a new challenge. It is well deserved. Go mba fada buan thú, Con.
